Usage Guide
WAX MELTS / BURNERS
Transforming your home's ambiance with our wax melts is a simple ritual, but following these steps will help you extract every last drop of essence and keep your burner in perfect condition.
1. Ritual Preparation
Take a portion of your wax melt and place it on top, without adding water or external oils. The wax is formulated to melt purely and cleanly.
2. Lighting
- Manual Burner: Place an unscented tea light candle in the base and light it. The heat will begin to melt the wax, releasing the fragrance.
3. "What it smells like to us"
Remember that each aroma has its own intensity. Some will fill the room in a few minutes, while others will create a subtle and relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy the nuances we describe in each product listing to guide your sensory experience.
4. Cleaning and Changing Scents
When you notice that the wax no longer gives off fragrance, it's time to change it. Do not pour it down the sink.
- Easy trick: Let the wax solidify slightly, apply a little pressure on one edge to pop out the whole block, or use a couple of cotton pads to absorb the liquid wax while it's still warm. Clean the rest with a dry paper towel.
Safety Tips (Very important!)
- Supervision: Never leave a lit burner unattended.
- Location: Keep the burner on a flat, heat-resistant surface and away from drafts, curtains, children, and pets.
- Usage time: Do not keep the burner lit for more than 3 hours at a time to avoid overheating the container and burning out the aroma.
- Handling: Do not touch or move the burner while the wax is liquid; you could burn yourself or spill it!
CANDLES
Lighting a candle is much more than illuminating a room; it's creating a moment for yourself. To ensure your Eirèa candle burns cleanly, safely, and for a long time, we recommend following this essential care guide.
1. First Lighting (The Golden Rule)
The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted to the edges of the jar. This usually takes between 2 and 3 hours.
Why? Wax has "memory." If you extinguish it before it reaches the edge, a tunnel will form around the wick, and you will waste the wax on the sides in subsequent uses.
2. Wick Maintenance
Before each lighting, make sure the wick is about 5 mm long. If it's too long, the flame will be too high and produce black smoke; if it's too short, the flame will be weak.
- Tip: Remove excess burnt wick with a wick trimmer or with your fingers (once it's cold) for a flawless burn.
3. "What it smells like to us"
Unlike wax melts, the aroma of jar candles is released more gradually as the wax heats up. Enjoy the evolution of the olfactory notes that we describe in each model: from the first impact when unboxing to the lingering scent that subtly perfumes your favorite corner.
4. How to extinguish your candle
To avoid smoke and burnt odors, it's best not to blow out the candle. Use a candle snuffer or place the jar lid (if it has one) to extinguish the flame due to lack of oxygen. This will preserve the aroma intact in the room.
Safety Tips
- Supervision: Never leave a lit candle unattended or within reach of children or pets.
- Surface: Always place the jar on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The glass can reach high temperatures.
- Drafts: Avoid placing the candle near open windows or fans, as this causes irregular burning.
- End of candle: Stop using the candle when approximately 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom. Lighting it with less wax could excessively overheat the glass of the jar.
DECORATIVE CANDLES
Our decorative candles are designed to be the center of attention. If you decide to light them to enjoy their light and aroma, we recommend following these steps to ensure a perfect experience:
1. The base is key
As these are containerless candles, the wax will flow freely as it melts. Always place them on a stable, heat-resistant surface with a rim (such as a ceramic plate or a stone tray) to collect melted wax and protect your furniture.
2. Safe location
Keep your candle away from drafts, flammable objects, and out of reach of children or pets. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
3. When to extinguish
Do not keep it lit for more than 2-3 hours at a time. To extinguish it, it is preferable to use a candle snuffer or carefully dip the wick into the liquid wax (and straighten it again) to avoid smoke.
